Coach DiSomma Named EDP Full-Sided Boys Coach of the Year

In a year marked by remarkable achievements for Lancaster FC, Coach Gino DiSomma has added another accolade to his name: EDP Full-Sided Boys Coach of the Year. The honor comes after EDP received more than 17,700 unique votes, recognizing individuals and teams that have made a significant impact on youth soccer.

Coach DiSomma, who serves as Lancaster FC’s Director of Coaching (DOC) and leads the U19s, UPSL Premier, and USL Academy teams, has been integral to the club’s growth since its inception. In just 12 months, he’s helped over 20 players progress to college programs and guided his U19 squad to the number-one ranking in the nation in 2024 on GotSoccer.

“We are lucky to have Coach DiSomma overseeing our highest age group teams at this club,” said LFC President Oliver Templeton. “He’s been instrumental in our success, and I think each player who’s worked with him would agree this award is well deserved. It’s great to see him recognized by his peers across the state for his time and effort.”

The EDP awards also celebrated top teams and coaches in other categories, including Boys Team of the Year (YMS 2010 Premier United) and Girls Team of the Year (YMS 2011 Girls Flames). Now, with this newest accolade, Coach DiSomma will begin the spring season looking to build on the success of the past year and continue elevating Lancaster FC’s presence on the youth soccer stage.
